This cover would never see the light of day, but i guess I was wrong... Guess What i saw?

Crazy isn't it? I thought the new cover album would be used , but take a guess again... I guess mine is the one cover that is being passed around...

I should have branded it  get some credit from the deal, Yes that is the story of my life....
Come on someone could have put this "poster" a little better but i guess the main deal is ... Is my cover design, and it's being used, no matter for what...

My friend Beth suggested that because I read so much, I should actually post reviews of the books I'm reading. I kind of figure ..."Hey that is a great idea", but i really don't know much about books other than I love them... she said...," I just know how entertained I am and if they’re super special..." Okay so yesterday afternoon I was working on some stuff from home. I was actually curious to see the many faces you actually do while you are working on stuff. put in a timer for ever 30 seconds or so, and did it for 10 minutes. hahahahha The faces were so funny, I wanted to share some of the experience with you, the visual part I guess. What was I doing? A Wall frame black and white Timeline project were life starts, and were it creates a new begining , of another whole life story.

Promiss to show more pictures when I'm fully done with it. It should be fun@. Also my Bcards should be here soon, I can't wait, their proofs looked amazing...

So a long time ago I started with this project for a talente musician that i think is going to be Huge within a year or two. His name as I said in an old post is Bobby Long. He plays really interesting music  you guys should check out his sounds at his page on my space: Click here

Anyways John and I were breaking our brains a couple of days ago thinking on how I could expand what i had into a portfolio piece. He gave me some suggestions to develop the brand, and the concept itself one step forward. For this purpose, I made these 2 other pieces a desktop design, and the myspace page design. I loaded it on mine to test it a couple weeks ago.I really like the way it turned out. check it out.

  Now Bobby added it to his profile and is using it in myspace, which is kind of cool. Also his icon image is the album cover I made, which is neat too. Although the cover is never going to be used for album purposes I think the visuals of this project, the look and feel of the grunch-folk vibe you get from all the elements together match thier purpose. I hope you guys enjoy them as much as i did making them. Check out the music and let me know if you agree with me.

John gave me an awesome suggestion which i'm working on now, after i just got the screenbackground done today. I'm going to design business card-demo cards cd's that could be sent out to places that might want to check out the songs. These cd's are tiny i think they are actually the size of a business card. 3.5 by 2' inches. I think this would put the bow to this Image-campaign all together. Tshirt would be nice, and posters but that doesn't seem as creative out of the books. I'll Photograph some of the items, and place them in my portfolio all together.

This items might never see the light of day officially. and I might offer them to Bobby in case he wants to use them, but the purpose of them is sonly self satisfaction on a visual that i consider has lots of potencial, and i think captures the style of music in great visual way.Also super marketable and recognizable, and visually strong enough where once you have looked at it you'll remember it.

So we completed the Program G. for May ! Here is the final cover on it's best! Hope you all enjoy! I can say this one is all about my doing...  Minus some tweaks that I had to be downgrade so this one here is not the one that is going to print, but my own version of the final. Enjoy@!

Everyone that's been on design for a while, most likely does a lot of research before starting a project, I thought of sharing this with all of you. Visual research is always fun =) So here is my spring board for inspiration for the month of June. In display the new trends coming up this summer, with color and shot styles... Fashion is a.... ... ..... .....=)
Someday I'll get into books again. Is all about wishful thinking right?

So it's been a couple weeks now that I've been trying to update the look and feel of my own identity for freelance proposes... That was the reason behind updating this blog look and feel but for some reason is super hard to get to the B.cards... Seems soo personal. I started struggling with my own confort... and what represents me as a designer. Judging my solutions way to up close, so i had to get away from it for a couple days until Eureka! Took long enough right.

"Designers hardest judge has to be the designer himself" I always thought... but only if they take their art seriously... And the big responsability that intails.

 Anyways here are the results of lots of work and re-work... The are being printed , with spot UV. I always wanted to do that... =) My question is would I change my cell phone again way to soon? Hey i would totally do it for an Iphone =) thought my little palm has work her magic on me. Vote for your favourite, vertical or horizontal!

This year has been such and amazing year, I've been travelling a lot! I've been so lucky
and blessed to have a supportive family. I've been to London, Paris, NYC and Buenos Aires.
All in less than a year! I know ridiculous... The best trips of my life...
Here are some of my favourite shots i gathered! I'm sharing some of them with you guys.
Please let me know if you are interested in prints it would be an honor to share them with
you. One of my best friends already asked me for prints, I gave them to her this afternoon.
She loved them and said Wow these are amazing so professional! That is the best of
compliments... Makes going throw 1000000 pictures plus adjusting contrast, colors and
crop in each one of them sooo worth it. 

 

  John and I started an Enviroimental re-design upgrade to our main room in the house.
We went to Ikea last weekend and made it out of thin air. It was an amazing experience
to team up our brains and actually create something together, and hard work on it,
with sweat and tears. Literally. The result our amazing 11 feet tall entretainment
center/bookshelve/Art holder... I know is pretty different and amazing... I hope you
guys hope so. It completly change the look and feel of the room.

This image was done on a shoot that happened earlier this week...Model was Karrie Jetlucky, The amazing UK Photographer Jay Grieson, Sweetest Stylist Tia Katright.

The theme overall was gold month so we are trying to make the cover really soft and with a soft glow to it. I painted the walls in the studio with metallic gold paint . Never done that before and Kelly and I wrapped the lighting and did some test shoots...That will never be seen. The shoot was a blast to direct as always. Also my CD was there to make sure she got what she was looking for...Jay also took some test shots to check the lights on me while Tia was getting Karrie ready...  That is my new pic profile...in facebook. and my space =)

I'll be posting the finished product when is all said and done. I'm really excited about this one! Here are my favourite shots of the day.
